Enobosarm, also known as ostarine or MK-2866, is an investigational selective androgen receptor modulator (SARM) used to treat diseases such as muscle atrophy and osteoporosis.
Researchers have found that it may help treat muscle wasting diseases and osteoporosis.
They found that it can significantly increase lean muscle mass without the adverse side effects of anabolic steroids.
This is the main reason bodybuilders currently use it to increase muscle mass or improve performance.
According to a paper written by GTx in 2009, “The reader is reminded that the name of ostarine is often incorrectly associated with the chemical structure of [S-4], which is also called andarine. The chemical structure of ostarine is not yet public. A 2009 review stated that “Recently, GTx disclosed that compound 5 has entered clinical trials. This patent application describes detailed data from a preliminary proof-of-concept phase IIa clinical trial. It does not clearly state that compound 5 is Ostarine (MK-2866).
As of 2012, Enobosarm’s mechanism of action is still under debate and further research is needed.
Ostarine is attached to a protein called androgen receptor in the body. When ostarine binds to these receptors, it tells the muscles in the body to grow. Unlike some other chemicals that bind to androgen receptors (such as steroids), ostarine does not seem to cause so many side effects in other parts of the body.
Increase muscle mass
In a study on the effect of Ostarine on lean muscle mass, it showed that it can significantly increase muscle mass. They use a dose of 3 milligrams per day and there are no side effects at all.
Promote fat loss
Improve insulin resistance
Ostarine may help improve insulin resistance and lower blood sugar levels. This may result in better absorption of nutrients and increased muscle recovery.
When taken orally: Ostarine may be unsafe when taken orally. According to reports, some people who take ostarine experience liver damage. Other common side effects of ostarine include stomach pain, constipation, diarrhea, headache, nausea, fever, heart attack and stroke.
The appropriate dosage of ostarine depends on several factors, such as the user’s age, health, and other conditions. There is not enough scientific information to determine an appropriate range of ostarine doses. Remember, natural products are not always safe, and dosage is also important. Be sure to follow the relevant instructions on the product label, and consult your pharmacist or physician or other healthcare professional before use.
